HBO has revealed the titles and running time for the final two episodes of the sixth season of Game of Thrones and it appears the hit TV show is getting a super-sized finale.
The extended season 6 finale will air on June 26, reportsaceshowbiz.com. While the ninth episode of the ongoing sixth season will have an airtime of 60 minutes and will be telecast on June 19.
Titled Battle of the bastards, the ninth episode is likely to be about the long-overdue confrontation between Jon Snow played by Kit Harington and Ramsay Bolton played by Iwan Rheon for control of Winterfell and the North.
The finale is titled The Winds of Winter, a nod to author George RR Martin’s forthcoming sixth novel in his A Song of Ice and Fire series, which was originally intended to be released prior to this season.
The final episode will be 69 minutes long, making it the longest Game of Thrones episode ever.
