Adviser to the Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz contacted the foreign ministers of New-Zealand, Murray McCully and the Republic of Korea, Yun Byung-se, to highlight Pakistan’s credentials for the Nuclear Suppliers Group (NSG) membership with a view to seeking their support, a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the other day.
Earlier, Sartaj Aziz spoke over the telephone with Russian Foreign Minister, Sergey Lavrov the other day as part of the country’s continuing diplomatic efforts towards mobilising support for Pakistan’s application for the membership of NSG.
His interlocutors expressed support for a non-discriminatory approach on NSG expansion to non-NPT states, the press release added
