Pleasant weather persists in the city

LAHORE – Pleasant weather prevailed in the provincial metropolis after a two-day rain spell on Sunday. According to the Meteorological office, the ongoing wet spell will continue for one more day, and the weather will remain cloudy until Tuesday. The Met office said that scattered rain and thunderstorms occurred across northern Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
Farmers said rain was adversely affecting the wheat crop and if the bad weather persisted they might lose 50% of their crops. The Met office advised the farmers to suspend harvesting until Tuesday. According to the Met office, due to the current rainfall, the day temperatures have dropped to 2 to 4 degrees Celsius in most parts of the country. The minimum temperature recorded in Lahore was 18 degrees Celsius and the maximum temperature was 31 degrees Celsius.
The lowest minimum temperature in the country was recorded in Kalam and Astore, which was 2 degrees Celsius, and the highest maximum temperature was recorded in Turbat, which was 41 degrees Celsius. The highest amount of rain was recorded in Pattan, which was 77 millimetres.
