Our former prime minister, Shaukat Aziz might not be in Citibank anymore but there’s still a lot of Citibank in him. Recently, the alumni of the bank held a get together, with many of his former colleagues in attendance, including another former finance minister, Shaukat Tareen.
The event was also used by Aziz for the soft launch of his autobiography, which he gifted to some. Otherwise, it’s going for 20 pounds sterling a pop. Someone quipped, we’ve already seen too much of the cover of the book (his face) and wouldn’t like to read the book as well.
Ouch. It isn’t good to be an apolitical former prime minister, is it?
