Heatwave settles as rain lashes parts of city

The power supply was affected owing to light rain with strong gusts and lightening in Lahore on Monday (today).

According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds are expected at isolated places of Khyber PakhtunKhuwa (KP), Islamabad and Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions) in next 48 hours.

Furthermore, rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds are also expected in Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

The temperature in Lahore is stagnated at 26 degrees Celsius.

However, the power supply has begun to restore in different areas.

According to PMD, temperature will soar in country’s plains. Dalbandin, Larkana, Nawabshah, Jacobabad, Mirpurkhas, Sibbi, Shaheed Benazirabad , Sukkar, Padidan, Dadu, Rohri and Rahim Yar Khan  will witness a rather intense day as far as the climate goes.
