RAHIM YAR KHAN – The riverine areas along Indus have been purged of criminals after intensive operation by a force of 2000 policemen, said District Police
Officer (DPO) Sohail Habib Tajik here on Saturday.
Talking to APP, he said this was so far the “biggest operation” against criminals and had been completed successfully.
“A ceremony would be held at the earliest here in the honour of police personnel who joined the operation. Medals and commendatory certificates would also be given.”
The district police officer said those were no-go areas festering with crimes.
The DPO said the police force recovered dozens of kidnapped people,adding that miraculously no police man lost life in the line of duty.
