Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has said that Pakistan is determined to confront the global phenomenon of terrorism and extremism.
Addressing the participants of the Command and Staff College in Quetta on Thursday, he further added, “No other military in the world has been able to synergise effects as much as Pakistan Army could do single-handedly. I am rightly proud of commanding this dynamic and resolute force.”
Dilating on the effects of Operation Zarb-e-Azb, Gen Sharif explained how the military had transited from hard-core kinetic operations to intelligence-based operations and now combing operations.
Highlighting his vision of conclusion of operations for peace and stability in the country, he said: “We are not there yet, and have more work to do to achieve our final objective of a fully peaceful and prosperous Pakistan.”
The army chief is also scheduled to visit Headquarters of the military’s Southern Command and review operational and security matters during his stay in Quetta.
Bravo to the COAS for his vision of what could be Pakistan's future…Unfortunately, he must deal with the religious fanatic mullahs of the CII who have a totally different version of what they want Pakistan to become?…
The only exception may be the the 'good-terrorist' doing their dirty job across the eastern border!
