Two ministers of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), the ruling party of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), resigned on Monday over differences with the party leadership.

The ministers who tendered their resignations included Abdul Majid Khan and Muhammad Hussain Sargala. They alleged the discriminatory attitude of PPP leadership the reason behind their decision to quit.

AJK Prime Minister Chaudhry Abdul Majeed said that the two ministers were earlier suspended over violation of the party discipline. In upcoming general elections, party tickets will be given to other capable and eligible candidates, he said.
