Unidentified armed men gunned down a Frontier Constabulary (FC) official in Nar Jaffar area of Bannu on Sunday.
The FC officer was on a visit to home for his wedding anniversary to be held in the next few days when armed men opened fire at him, police officials said.
The paramilitary soldier died on the spot while assailants fled from the scene of crime.
The body was shifted to a hospital for postmortem. Police officials said that the incident was an outcome of personal enmity.
