Federal Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid has said that the ongoing multiple power projects will produce about 12,000 megawatts (MW) of electricity by 2018.

The country will have 16,000 MW of electricity by 2021, he said on Saturday. The minister added that Pakistan Muslim League- Nawaz (PML-N) believes in the progress of the country and will continue its journey of development despite hurdles created by the opposition.

He said that efforts are underway to provide employment, shelter, education and health facilities to the people by improving industrial and agricultural production.

About the Panama leaks, Rashid said that the terms of reference framed by the opposition for the Panama commission were based on personal vengeance. He said that the politics of sit-ins has harmed interests of the country and Pakistan does not afford it in future.
