Actress Sushmita Sen celebrates 22 years of Miss Universe crowning today.
The 40-year-old model-turned-actress, who was the first Indian women to win the crown of Miss Universe in 1994, took to Twitter to thank people, who helped her in her pursuit.

She even shared and retweeted old pictures from her Miss Universe days.
“You’ll wear the crown for a year, but INDIA will own the title 1994 forever… Celebrate that always’,” she wrote quoting Martin Brooks, president of Miss Universe Organisation in 1994.

The Main Hoon Na actor also thanked Miss Colombia Carolina Gomez, 1st runner-up at Miss Universe 1994, for being supportive.
