There is one solution for all the financial ills of Pakistan. It lies in the development of hydel power which would entail not only the production of affordable energy and storage of water for the thirsty cities of Pakistan. However this can only be done by revisiting KBD which was once promised by Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif at the time of exploding six atom bombs in 1998. Mian Sahib has forgotten his pledge to the nation based on his political compulsions. No amount of gas projects based on imported gas could substitute the use of our hydel resources for energy production as also for water storage.
However to jolt Mian Sahib to energise him on the pending KBD project; it is only possible if Gen. Raheel Sharif uses his soft power to encourage and goad Mian Sahib to take the jump which is the only way to save his government. No amount of dithering on the vital project of KBD would serve the nation. We are speaking of building Kachi canal. How could we provide water for this canal if KBD is not built to provide water for the proposed canal? This is as true as 2+2=4 but the planners are living in clouds if they do not realise the problem.
I pray to Allah Almighty to give courage to Mian Sahib and Gen. Raheel Sharif to lift the heavy stone of KBD to save Pakistan for once and all.

KBD is politicized. If not KBD, there are numerous other options for Hydel Projects. Manipulating Economy through discount rate, while exports are falling and Manufacturing Sector is hibernating only because of power and security issues. What a foolish Government we have here that could not resolve an iota of power shortage.
