Says those trying to evade it will be finished in politics

The Panama Leaks issue has emerged as a national issue in its importance and no one can evade it, as it is also a global issue. An accountability of all the politicians is in order, Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) Information Secretary Senator Kamil Ali Agha said on Tuesday.

Talking to Pakistan Today Editor Arif Nizami in his talk show DNA on Channel 24, Agha said when all political parties are gathered and unanimous on an issue, it is always big news and a sign of intent.

“Instead of creating a hue and cry in the parliament, the joint opposition decided to walk out from the National Assembly (NA) because Nawaz Sharif didn’t address the questions,” he said.

“Today we prepared our list of questions, which are almost 70 in number, and tomorrow the members of the National Assembly will go and give their forceful reply,” Agha said, and added, “These questions were raised after the PM’s speech. We will seek an explanation from him,” he said.

Answering a question, Agha said that if they are asked for accountability they will present themselves for maximum scrutiny.

He further added that when you are blamed, it is very easy to deflect the blame and direct it on others and this has always been the modus operandi of Nawaz Sharif, his family and their supporters.

The senator said that instead of satisfactorily answering the questions, PM Sharif’s speech has raised many crucial questions.

Arif Nizami praised the business knowhow of the Sharif family, to which Agha said:

“We want to know what magic wand they possess, because whatever they touch, it turns to gold and whatever we touch, it turns to dirt.”

Agha added that whoever tries to side-step on the issue of Panama Leaks, or tries to make a compromise, will be finished in Pakistani politics.

Arif Nizami said during the show that Panama Leaks is not an issue created by the opposition, but rather a global one. He appreciated the stance taken by the opposition, because instead of taking their struggle on the roads, they have chosen to raise their objections within the parliament.

  1. What Parliament ? A bunch of chatta-battas and hungry wolfs. Majority of them do NOT pay taxes. Only raise hands in favor of the Ruling Party without thinking of the Nation and their poor masses. Look at their performance during the last three years. The external debts have increased three-fold and taxed the kitchen items. The less said is better.
