ISLAMABAD – Under the auspices of Zarai Taraqiati Bank (ZTBL), a ‘kissan mela’ was held in Noudero, Larkana. The mela was inaugurated by ZTBL President Zaka Ashraf. The YTO Corporation, a Chinese tractor manufacturing company and Shanksi Zentong International Technology Company displayed their products and services. Shanksi exhibited solar driven water pumps available at affordable prices for the farmers of Pakistan to irrigate their fields in the wake of electricity cut and ever mounting costs.
People from all walks of life especially farmers showed their keen interest in the innovative technology. The president speaking on the occasion announced the commencement of Kisan relationship officer (KRO) pilot project in Naudero and if successful, would be launched countrywide. “We are launching the project from the land of martyrs to create awareness among the farmers of sindh and this practice of holding kisan melas would be continued”, the president noted.
