‘Solar Kids’ currently under treatment at Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) met President Mamnoon Hussain in Islamabad on Thursday.
President Mamnoon Hussain directed that best medical care should be extended to the two kids and emphasised thorough research to diagnose the disease and suggest its treatment.
The president said this while meeting the two Balochi children dubbed “solar kids” Shoaib Ahmed and Abdul Rasheed along with their father at the Aiwan-e-Sadr. State Minister for Capital Administration & Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, Secretary CADD Hassan Iqbal and Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU) Vice Chancellor Prof Javed Akram were also present on the occasion.
As a special gesture, President Mamnoon received the two kids at the Aiwan-e-Sadr and enquired about their health and well-being. The president talked to the two children and presented gifts to them hoping that they will soon recover fully and live a normal life. He was briefed by the State Minister for CADD about the condition of the two children and their treatment process at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Islamabad.
The president directed that the children should be looked after well and underscored that Pakistani doctors should thoroughly research this disease and identify the causes to suggest an effective cure to rid the children of it.
