Corruption is prevalent in almost every country around the globe. Among them Pakistan scored is 117 out of 175 countries, while corruption is widely spread among the country mostly in government.
It is reality that corruption has become a common phenomenon around the globe. It is still shameful for us that corruption is entrenched among the country’s society and no one taking serious action against to get stop the corruption in the country.
The major reasons of corruption is unemployment, lack of accountability, low salaries etc. If institutions become strong, increased salaries of people and immediately paid owed pay, improved education system, maintained law and order situation and provided justice to people, then corruption’s rate shall automatically decrease.
However, according to a news report on television on Friday, National Accountability Bureau (NAB) raided and arrest several officers including Finance Secretary Mushtaq Ahmed Raisani and recovered Rs730 millions and bonds in Quetta over allegations of corruption. It was further reported that NAB confiscated all relevant records from the Balochistan Secretariat due to which the workers raised slogans against the organization.
It was really commendable of NAB for taking such a great step to get rid of corruption in the country and we hope that NAB should keep pace on and shall take more strict actions like this ahead and will arrest corrupt politicians with illegal money making skills. I request the government to follow cited mentioned suggestions as that our country gets free from corruption.
