Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will travel to London for a medical check-up after May 20, local media reported.
During his visit, PM Nawaz will also hold a meeting with Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) leader Asif Ali Zardari to discuss the political situation of the country in light of the Panama Papers revelations.
Nawaz has reached out to Zardari at a number of occasions to seek counsel.
PM Nawaz is expected to discuss the terms of references (ToRs) put forward by the opposition and the ones suggested by the government.
According to reports, it will be the second meeting of both the leaders on the Panama leaks issue.
It is likely that the two leaders might plan out a strategy to help fend the pressure from the opposition on the PM and his government.
No harm in meeting. What the masses are wondering, all are waiting finger-crossed for the Hon CJ Supreme Court's decision – whether or not he is going to head the Commission. From Apr 24 onward it was pending, because the Hon CJ was out of the country. Eight days of May have also passed – no news ! So far, his meeting with AAZ is concerned, it is NOT going to ease the situation. Want to write something but the 'moderator' would reject my comments. So enough so far.
When the two wise leaders meet they will moan nd groan about how ungrateful the pakistani people are. They will then reach an understanding."You rub my back and i will rub yours. We must stick together in thick and thin." Both have medical problems which prop up from time to time at appropriate intervals which neccessitate their leaving the country.
