DIG says ready to address flying squad personnel’s problems

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operation Dr Haider Ashraf on Tuesday said that personnel of police’s Flying Squad would be transferred after one year without any delay.

He was addressing a meeting arranged for Flying Squad personnel in Qila Gujar Singh Police Lines.

It was learnt that some policemen were reluctant to join the flying squad, and some were trying to get to get a transfer from the squad using their references, he said. Dr Haider appreciated the flying squad members as they fulfill their responsibility even in scorching heat to maintain the law and order situation.

He said that he will visit police mess along with SSP VVIP security Athar Ismail to observe the arrangements for the personnel and all necessary facilities would be provided to raise the standard of the mess.

Haider Ashraf ordered the authorities to make arrangements for provision of fans, water coolers and water filter in the rooms of the personnel where these are missing.
