The Sindh Assembly was prorogued on Tuesday amid vociferous protests of members of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

The MQM members protested inside the assembly hall when the speaker did not allow MQM Member of Provisional Assembly Muhammad Hussain Khan to speak on a point of order. Resultantly, the party members gathered before the dais of the speaker and raised slogans. They wanted to discuss alleged political victimisation of their party.

The MQM members protested for 21 minutes followed by the session being prorogued.

In the following session only two questions asked by Pakistan Muslim League-Functional lawmaker Nusrat Sehar Abbasi were answered.

However, speaker congratulated the House for completing 100 days of business.

Later, the speaker read out the message of the Sindh governor to prorogue the House.
