Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Talal Chaudhry has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan addressed a few thousand people at Charing Cross and did not answer ruling party’s questions, local media reported on Monday.

PML-N’s MNA Chaudhry and Maryam Aurangzeb held a joint press conference in the federal capital today and lambasted PTI chief among other leaders of opposition parties.

Chaudhry asked why PTI’s secretary general Jahangir Tareen got his debts written-off and Aleem Khan concealed his assets. On which condition PTI chairman befriended Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari, he asked.

He said that Khan was supposed to answer the aforementioned questions posed by the ruling party. He also said that people have not forgotten what Khan used to say about Zardari and how he had criticised him in the past.

The member of National Assembly said that PTI leader celebrated ‘youm-e-ameer’ on the day that signifies ‘youm-e-mazdoor’. He was referring to his rally on May 1 in Lahore. PTI mocked the labourers with their show of extravagance and opulence at Charing Cross last night, he added. He alleged Khan of leaving no stone unturned to save his aides Tareen and others from accountability.

Chaudhry criticised Imran Khan for developing ties with Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid-e-Azam (PML-Q) leaders Pervez Elahi and Shujaat Hussain whom he used to refer to as ‘Punjab’s biggest dacoits’.

Referring to Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, the ruling party’s MNA said that those who have not left even manhole covers unsold in Karachi are demanding resignations of the Prime Minister.

Talking about the meeting which is to be held today by opposition parties, Chaudhry said that those who used to allege one another of looting the country are convening a joint session over alleged corruption by the government. Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) also received flak from the government’s representative. “They think that growing beard makes people honest and noble,” he said.

They would have to answer how Bank of Khyber fell victim to corruption, he added. All the parties that have been accusing one another of corruption in the past are going to sit together to form Terms of References (TORs) against the government today, Chaudhry said.

Maryam Aurangzeb said that opposition leaders need to have a vision like that of Nawaz Sharif to become Prime Minister of the country.

PTI chairman Imran Khan had addressed a rally at Charing Cross in Lahore. Punjab government had denied permission to the opposition party earlier while Pakistan Horticulture Authority (PHA) removed flexes on the Mall however, the permission was granted later on.

  1. Peons of Nawaz Sharif are trying to muddle the issue of Nawaz Sharif’s illegal accumulation of wealth during tenure of his Government during era of 1980’s, 1990’s and 2010’s.
Jahangir Tareen khan’s asset and offshore account were created by him with funds from his legal wealth as an industrialist and landowner. Jahangir Tareen is one of the only honest rich person who pays taxes for income earned through his personal and business venture. Recently, Jahangir Tareen did issue paperwork and explanation regards to offshore accounts and business dealing taken place in foreign land. Since the Commission for Panama Leaks is being establish investigation of Jahangir Tareen should be least of Commission priority due to Prime Minister and his prodigy’s accumulation of wealth in a questionable manner. Jahangir Tareen is not above the law and must be investigated. Before we investigate Jahangir Tareen, we must have a Prime Minister whose moral and financial position as solid as Minar e Pakistan.

  2. I seriously feel this guy needs to see a notable psychatarist. He is fast losing his metal balance like his political collegaues together could be termed as soiled palm as it consists of 5 fingers.
what a lickass he is ?
He might even go to the extent of washing NS back also for any favours.
He doesnt seem to understand basic English what accountabily means & from whom it starts.
IK doesnt need to asnwer for AK & JKT. They are quite capable to speak for themselves .
Infact NS stooges should be bold enough to question the person concerned rather than showing their level of ignorance.
BTW Im not a Pakistani & dont intend to be looking at the state to which this country has been brought to by the subsequent regimes.
While i agree IK should mellow down & speak more like a matured politician & be more focussed on productive issues ,rather than involving himself in hurling tirades against the opposiition , he is possibly the last & the best hope for a pakistani resurgence who can change the fortunes of Pakistan.
