Senior Superintendent of Islamabad Police Sajid Kiani Sunday directed all the police officers to ensure strict security against miscreants in their respective jurisdictions to ensure safety of the residents.

Addressing the police officers in a meeting held at the Rescue 15 office, he said that action against the proclaimed offenders must be accelerated besides ensuring their arrest. No laxity in this regard would be tolerated, he warned.

The meeting was attended by all SPs Zones, SDPOs and SHOs that discussed in details the performance of all police stations regarding the arrest of proclaimed offenders. It was told that the Islamabad Police arrested 718 proclaimed offenders during last month.

The SSP Sajid Kiani directed the police officers to further improve the performance and arrest the remaining POs as soon as possible. He also instructed them to trace and arrest the criminals involved in theft of cars, motorcycles and events of burglaries.

He also asked them to arrest the people involved in the suspicious activities, ensuring the strict security of schools, colleges, media houses and other important points.

The SSP directed all SPs to personally monitor the security arrangements, examine patrolling and security check points and improve them further.
