A 16-year-old Bengal tiger died due to illness at Karachi Zoo on Friday.
The Bengal tiger was brought to the zoo in 2014.
The zoo administration said that the tiger was not eating properly since few days after which he was medically examined and found ill.
As per Karachi Zoological Garden sources, Bengal tigers usually live not more than 17 or 18 years. They also said that a tender for purchasing a new tiger for the zoo will be submitted soon.
