KARACHI – Following the killings of two activist of MQM, the city, again, fell prey to unrest as unknown miscreants set two buses on fire in Landhi area on Tuesday.
According to sources, armed men forcefully vacated a passenger bus and set it on fire near Manzil pump in Sherpao Colony of Landhi.
Likewise, unknown miscreants set another bus on fire at Quaidabad poultry stop.
Police and fire brigade authorities managed to control the fire but vehicles were completely damaged by that time. The Police also failed to arrest any of miscreants.
The sources were of the view that these incidents were the reaction to the killings of leader of a political party at Shaheed-e-Milat road the other day.
On Monday unknown attackers fired on the Vice Chairman Akhtar Hussain at the busiest Shaheed-e-Milat road killing him and his friend Abdul Karim belonging to Afaq Ahmed Group of MQM.
The funeral prayers of the murdered leader and activists would be offered at Sherpao Colony after the Asr prayers.
