Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has said that he doesn’t believe in politics of lies and sit-ins but believes in the service of masses irrespective of political affiliation.
Addressing a public gathering on Monday he announced a number of development projects for Kotli Sattian. He said that he would not indulge in politics of sit-ins and lies. He said load shedding would be ended by 2018.
“There is significant reduction in power outages. Load-shedding will be completely ended by 2018,” he added.
The prime minister said he wasn’t going to talk against any particular individual.
“I am not interested in politics of character assassination, lies and destruction. Nor have I come here to speak ill of any individual,” he said.
“We do not believe in the politics of sit-ins, which is detrimental for the country and revolves around blatant lies,” the prime minister said in his address to the public gathering at Tehsil Kotli Sattiyan.
The prime minister said that the scourge of terrorism would be rooted out within two years. Pakistan army has rendered great sacrifices for the sake of peace in the country. He said that today Karachi is much better and safer than it was three years ago. He said that the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would be beneficial for the whole of Pakistan.
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR FLOOD AND LANDSLIDE AFFECTEES:
The prime minister said the objective of his visit was to provide financial assistance to the people affected by floods and landslides.
“I decided to come and meet the people of Kotli Sattian when I heard about the destruction caused in land sliding,” he added.
He said he could say a lot of things but wasn’t going to use inappropriate language against anyone and will continue to serve the people with patience.
He said he was visiting Kotli Sattian after 26 years. He said he had faced many ups and downs during this period, spent much of his time out of the country and had remained behind bars for 14 months.
The PM said he had always served the people as that was the aim of his politics. Politics with lies, sit-ins and havoc in the country is not his manifesto, he added.
PM PROMISES BETTER FUTURE:
Nawaz Sharif said that he was elected in 2013 with a vision to end load shedding, terrorism and poverty which has drastically decreased since he came to power. He also vowed to end load shedding by 2018. He said terrorism would be eradicated in two years and committed to regaining the globally lost image of Pakistan.
Benefits of CPEC will spread across the country, he said. The PM also paid tribute to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the country in the fight against terrorism.
Nawaz Sharif also announced to establish hospitals, gas infrastructure, electricity and carpeted roads in the area. He said a survey was in progress for building a motorway from Muzaffarabad to Mirpur to Kotli Sattiyan and construction of multiple bridges over the River Jhelum.
He asked the people to come up with suggestions for new roads for promoting tourism, generating economic activity and creating employment in the area.
He also directed that victims who did not receive compensation should be provided with cheques within 24 hours and a report should be presented to him in this regard.
Nawaz Sharif has a very short memory. He is now well known for two things; his refrain from truth and his love for our enemy number one. Recently an Indian TV channel said they have invested in him and they will not let this go waste. NS own actions reinforce this claim by India. He is again using public money and time for his electioneering. He never learns.
