Former PAF officer, daughter-in-law killed in Peshawar

Former Pakistan Air Force (PAF) officer Sabir Hussain along with daughter-in-law gunned down by some unknown armed motorcyclists in Peshawar on Monday.

According to details, some unidentified assailants opened indiscriminate firing at Sabir Hussain’s car in which his daughter-in-law and grandson were also present.

The officer and his daughter-in-law succumbed to injuries on the way to hospital while his grandson remained safe in the mishap. The doctors have also confirmed the deaths.

Sources told that slain Sabir Hussain’s son is working in an intelligence agency.

On the other hand, it was also reported that the suspects managed to flee the scene despite strict police security at checkpost.

Security officials have launched an investigation into the matter after cordoning of the entire area.

Earlier, two dacoits riding a motorcycle killed an officer, Waqas, of the intelligence department in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 5 near NIPA Chowrangi area.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) East, Faisal Chachar said that both suspects also sustained injuries due to firing by the officer while 8 bullet shells were also recovered from crime scene.

The killed officer was appointed over the security of a high intelligence officer’s family.
