PPP meets PML-Q, MQM on Panama Leaks probe today

The Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) is establishing contacts with leaders of various political parties of the country with regards to the investigation of the Panama Papers leak.

In this respect, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Khursheed Shah on Sunday contacted Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi over telephone. Both the leaders will hold a crucial meeting Monday (tomorrow) evening at PML-Q President Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain’s place in Islamabad.

Khurshid Shah, Aitzaz Ahsan, Saeed Ghani, Ijaz Jakhrani and Naveed Qamar will be part of the PPP delegation that will meet the PML-Q leadership. Joint strategy to be adopted in regards to the Panama leaks issue shall be discussed during the meeting.

The PPP delegation will also meet Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leaders Monday evening in Islamabad. Dr Farooq Sattar will be leading Muttahida’s delegation whereas Khursheed Shah will lead the PPP delegation. The meeting between the MQM and PPP leaders will be held in the Parliament Lodges.
