Instead of launching a crackdown and phase out run-down buses, wagons, rickshaws and other mode of public transport, the Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Rawalpindi has decided to remove tape-recorders, radios and LCDs from public transport from April 25.
Authorities claimed that installation of radio, tape, TV, VCD, DVD and other music playing instruments was prohibited in public transport. A source said that the RTA Rawalpindi would start a crackdown from Monday.
RTA Secretary Khalid Sati said that all resources would be utilized to remove music playing instruments from public transport.
