Two suspects arrested in KP minister Sardar Soran murder case

Two suspects in the killing of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minority Affairs Minister Sardar Soran Singh were arrested from Buner district on Saturday, police said.

Singh, a doctor by profession and member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly, was shot dead near his residence in Buner district yesterday.

According to police, Sardar Soran Singh was returning home after walk when he was targeted by unidentified gunmen on motorbikes.

The minority affairs minister died instantly.

Banned Taliban group claimed responsibility for the attack.

In a press statement on Friday, PTI Chairman Imran Khan expressed his shock at the murder of Sardar Soran Singh and directed his party’s government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to hold an inquiry.

Last rites of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s minority affairs minister Sardar Soran Singh were performed in his native village in Buner district today (Saturday)
