LAHORE – Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah has made it clear that his party Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz will oppose formation of new provinces. In an exclusive chat with a private TV channel, the provincial law minister said that Punjab cannot be divided and if formation of new provinces is mandatory then Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa should be divided. Answering a question, he said, there is no space of technocratic government in the constitution and law.
Any move against the constitution would be opposed strongly, he said. He also endorsed the statement of Chief Muttahida Qaumi Movement Altaf Hussain with regard to Balochistan but said that Altaf Hussain should have given this statement at time when army operation was underway in Balochistan. He also asked MQM to allow other political parties to carry out activities in Karachi.
