LAHORE – Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) senior party members from Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa have been called in the presidency to discuss the party strategy regarding Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto (ZAB) case in the Supreme Court on Tuesday (today). The PPP sources said the meeting was called by the President Asif Ali Zardari, who is also the co-chairman of PPP, to discuss the reference about the re-opening of the ZAB case, relief for people in the upcoming budget and political situation in the country.
They said that the PPP was giving significant importance to ZAB reference and the party leaders would be briefed about the reference during the meeting. They added that the meeting would also finalise the panel of lawyers who would represent the PPP in the case, while the recent developments in the political front in Punjab and Sindh would be shared to devise a future strategy.
While the party legal experts and Federal Minister for Law Dr Babar Awan would inform the party about the progress in getting relevant record of the case from the concerned courts, the sources said.
