A proclaimed offender (PO) having head money of one million rupees among three hardened criminals was arrested after exchange of fire with police on Sunday.
The police on a tip-off regarding presence of robbers conducted search operation in suburbs of Khairpur city. On seeing police, the criminals taking shelter in the area started firing and tried to flee which led to an encounter. The police after minor resistance arrested PO Ghous Bux Jagirani having head money of Rs10,00,000 along with his two accomplices and recovered arms from their possession. The nabbed PO was wanted by police in more than 20 cases of murder and other crimes.
