Operation Zarb-e-Azb to continue till elimination of last terrorist: Mamnoon

President Mamnoon Hussain on Saturday vowed to continue operation Zarb-e-Azb till the end of the last terrorist from the country.

Addressing the 134th passing out parade of cadets at the Pakistan Military Academy Kakul, the president said that the people of Pakistan and its armed forces have given unprecedented sacrifices in this war, which are now bringing a dividend in the shape of improved law and order situation. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif also attended Pakistan military passing out parade. The president felicitated the cadets who were passing out wishing them all the best for their brighter future.

He said that this anti-terrorism operation is pivotal for peace and security of the region and the world at large.

Hussain also stated that defence of the country is its government’s first priority as it faces internal and external challenges.

Mamnoon Hussain said these efforts have also been recognised by the world community.

The president assured that Pakistan wants to strengthen mutual relations with neighbouring countries to sustain harmony and unity in the region.

He also reminded the audience that the operation was launched following consensus amongst all the political parties.
