Punjab Law minister Rana Sanaullah said the decision to surround the residence of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was taken on drugs and those responsible should be tested.

He suggested there will be a ‘Drug Leaks’ after the Panama Leaks, and that politicians taking banned substances and alcohol should not take part in politics. Just like corrupt people, there should be no drug users in politics as well, he added.

“I don’t know in what condition Imran Khan announced to stage a sit-in outside the prime minister’s house in Raiwind,” Sanaullah said, and added, “Blood samples of politicians should be taken to ascertain their mental health as some of them give statements under the influence of drugs. I will give my blood sample first,” he said.

He suggested that blood samples should be carried out on all those interested in taking part in politics for cocaine and alcohol and those found positive should be exposed.

Rana Sanaullah said that the PM is only visiting London for medical purposes and had no political commitments.

The PML-N leader said that no company will be willing to prove tax evasion and money laundering from several years back. He appreciated the decision of the PPP not to stage a sit-in outside the residence of Nawaz Sharif.

The Panama Papers are a conspiracy against the economic development in the country, and that the people will not be part of it and thwart such conspiracies, he said.

The war of words continues between the PTI and PML-N after revelations in the Panama Papers shock the entire political landscape.

He said that operation Zarb-e-Ahan is underway in Rajanpur and Rahim Yar Khan against Chhotu gang and that the robbers and proclaimed offenders are being chased in the forests and their hideouts. He said two key members of Chhotu gang have been killed and the operation will continue till the elimination of the last robber and proclaimed offender.

  1. It may be next to impossible to fully eradicate all drinkers or addicts from office. They always have the opportunity to go back, and drink and abuse drugs when they are not tested. It might not be the best move forward to addressing addiction in politics.
