Two alleged members of a terrorist network allegedly involved in a suicide blast in Gulshan Iqbal Park Lahore were detained in Jaranwala city on Tuesday.
According to police, the suspects Abid and Bashir were rounded up during joint raid by the CTD and intelligence agencies within the jurisdiction of Saddar police station in Jaranwala.
Around ten to fifteen suspects were detained during the raid and two of them were shifted to an undisclosed location for interrogation after the CTD found evidence of their involvement in the park blast.
On March 27, a suicide bomber targeted Gulshan-e-Iqbal Park, killing at least 76 people, mostly children and women and injured several others, when explosives packed with ball bearings ripped through the crowd.
