Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal met Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader and former federal minister Dr Asim Hussain at Jinnah Hospital and conveyed special message from former President Asif Ali Zardari.
The meeting took place in special ward of the Hospital. Sources also state that the meeting was kept extremely confidential.
Siyal told Dr Asim that Zardari had asked him to stay calm and directed him to stay in constant touch with senior Pakistan Peoples’ Party leaders.
Zardari and Dr Asim are childhood friends. In an interview, Zardari told media, “I called him ‘hare’. I was the one who motivated him to leave Nazimabad and shift to Defence. His arrest is only a tactic to pressurize the PPP.”
The 'strange friendship' brewed into gross corruption. They both come from different family back-ground and it was only the friendship of two different 'kharboozas' that resulted in the present drama. "Tukham taaseer – sohbat asar" an old proverb.
