Sindh Rangers Director General Major Gen Bilal Akber on Thursday visited the polling station at PECHS Block 2.
Talking to media, he said that restoration of peace in the metropolis had become possible with the cooperation of people. He said Rangers were taking action against terrorists and criminals in line with the decision of government. To a question, he said that federal and provincial governments were supervising the Karachi Operation.
To another question, he said the incidents which took place during polling process in bye-election in Karachi were not of that much magnitude which should be handled by Rangers. He said if police asked Rangers for support, they would cooperate. Earlier, he visited the polling station and met with voters who appreciated the role of Rangers in restoration of peace in the city.
