KARACHI – On the intervention of Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan and Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah, the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) has “reverted to its previous level of load shedding rather than the newly announced duration of up to 14 hours”.
According to an official announcement on Saturday, the governor and the chief minister took strict notice of the new load shedding duration and summoned the high officials of the KESC and Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and also contacted the federal ministers and authorities.
The governor drew attention of KESC and SSGC high-ups towards the difficulties being faced by the residents of the city and directed them to meet the possible shortage of gas through better load management.
He also appealed to the citizens to conserve gas and switch off their geysers and curtail the consumption of gas.
