Police claimed to have arrested a man on Thursday who was allegedly involved in attacking renowned singer-turned-preacher Junaid Jamshed at Islamabad Airport, local media reported.
Zain-ul-Abideen, was collared in Karachi’s Dhoraji area, according to police. Officials said he would be shifted to Islamabad for investigation.
A case about the attack has been registered against seven unknown persons in Rawalpindi’s airport police station.
Late last month, Jamshed was slapped a couple of time by unknown attackers at Benazir Bhutto International Airport when he arrived in Islamabad from Karachi.
