PPP to observe ZAB’s 37th death anniversary tomorrow

The 37th death anniversary of former prime minister and founder leader of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto will be observed on tomorrow (Monday).

The Sindh government announced public holiday in the province on the occasion. The notification to this effect has already been issued. According to the notification, all the Sindh government offices, semi-government, autonomous bodies, corporations and local councils under the administrative control of Sindh government will remain closed on the day. Quran Khwani and dua will be offered at the all divisional district, tehsil and city offices of the party. The Pakistan People’s Party will also hold public rally in Garhi Khuda Bux on this occasion.

IGP ORDERS HIGH SECURITY ON ZAB’S DEATH ANNIVERSARY

Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khawaja has called for extra-ordinary and effective security on the occasion of death anniversary of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto being observed tomorrow (Monday).

A spokesman of the Sindh police said in a statement on Saturday that the IGP had issued directives to the police to form a security plan.

The IGP directed that such a plan should be on the level of police ranges in the province. He also instructed an overall effective security around Ghari Khuda Bux as well as the entry and exit points.

It was stated that participation of people is expected from other provinces as well and there should be arrangements for picketing, searching and patrolling, especially on the entry points into Sindh. The IGP instructed that surveillance and security arrangements should also be made on the highways of the province. He directed that a bomb disposal squads be deployed for sweeping around the Ghari Kuda Bux graveyard and intelligence be enhanced as well.
