Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) central leader Aitzaz Ahsan has said that an independent National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is needed more than Rangers in Punjab.
“More than Rangers, Punjab needs an independent NAB . NAB asked for scrutinising some projects in Punjab which upset the prime minister and he started threatening the bureau. We are sure Sharif brothers will not be held accountable”, he said.
He expressed these views while talking to media here Friday.
He alleged that metro projects are good but Sharif brothers are making money out of them. Money has been harvested in LNG project, he alleged.
About Gulshan-e-Iqbal park Lahore tragedy he said that this incident had taken place due to flawed security arrangements by Punjab government. Security is deployed for protection of VIPs including Shahbaz Sharif and Hamza Shahbaz. Lack of facilities in the hospitals led to increase number of casualties after the blast, he held. Hospitals funds have also been spent on Orange train project, he alleged.
