OGRA proposes an increase in petrol price by Rs 3.07 per litre

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has proposed a summary to the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas, seeking Rs4.92 hike in the price of petroleum products, local media reported.

According to sources, the regulatory authority has recommended to increase the price of petrol by Rs3.07 per litre. The summary further proposed to increase price of high speed diesel by Rs1.52 per litre, kerosene oil by Rs3.94, light speed diesel by Rs4.92 and high octane by Rs4.60 per litre.

The ministry will issue final notification after the Prime Minister’s approval. Revised prices will be applicable from April 1. Currently, petrol is being sold at Rs 62.77 per litre and high speed diesel at Rs 71.12 per litre.
