Turkish General Staff General Hulusi Akar, who is on an official visit to Pakistan, on Wednesday called on Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC) Chairman General Rashad Mahmood, an ISPR news release stated.
The visiting dignitary was accompanied by a high level delegation. During the bilateral talks, matters of mutual interest with emphasis on geostrategic situation and security challenges came under discussion. Both sides reaffirmed the resolve to enhance cooperation between the two armed forces. The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of the Pakistani armed forces and acknowledged the sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in the fight against terrorism. Earlier, upon arrival at the Joint Staff Headquarters, the visiting general was presented a guard of honour by a smartly turned out contingent.
Later, Hulusi called on Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters, ISPR said in news release.
