Pakistan People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Wednesday took a strong notice of media reports that the Sindh government had released Rs 2.5 million funds for the martyrdom anniversary of Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto and asked the chief minister to launch an urgent inquiry into the matter.
The PPP chairman said that all the expenditures on Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto’s martyrdom anniversary were met by the party from its own funds and sources and not a single penny was spent from any government funds. Bilawal asked the chief minister to find out as to how and to whom these funds were released and the purpose behind it.
