Rangers get 90 days to interrogate ‘target killer’

Sindh Rangers on Tuesday produced a suspect before the Anti-Terrorism Court and informed it about his 90 days preventive detention for questioning.

The Rangers along with its counsel produced suspect, Muhammad Imran Saeed, before the administrative judge of ATC amid tight security. The paramilitary force told the judge that they had credible information about the suspect’s involvement in target killing, extortion and other offences that fall within the ambit of Anti-Terrorism Act. The court was informed that the suspect was picked up in targeted operation conducted within the limits of Preedy police station. The court directed the provincial authorities to form a joint investigation team within 15 days to probe the suspect.
