At least four persons including a policeman died while several others were injured in separate incidents across the metropolis on Saturday.
Police said that unidentified armed men gunned down one person in SITA area of the city and fled from the scene after committing the crime. According to rescue sources, an over-speeding car hit a man killing him on the spot at Maripur Road and sped away the scene.
A policeman identified as Nabbi Bux died in a road accident in Korangi Industrial Area. A bullet-riddled body of an unidentified person was recovered from Pakistan Colony locality of the metropolis. Meanwhile, more than a dozen people were injured in separate incidents of firing, road mishaps and other incidents across the city who were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas where condition of some wounded persons was stated to be serious. Sacchal Police, during a crackdown in its jurisdiction, arrested four culprits involved in target killing, collecting extortion, robberies, kidnapping and other serious crimes. The police, after registering separate cases in all incidents at respective police stations, have started investigation.
