Provincial Minister for Mines and Minerals Chaudhry Sher Ali Khan said that Punjab government has decided to establish a digitalised mineral resource estimation library.
While speaking at a meeting in Lahore, he said that the government has also finalised provincial minerals resource mapping, which will help maintain and update information about all mineral resources in Punjab.
The minister said that the lab would assist the government to move ahead for new exploration using restored information which will save precious time and money, further supporting the research work.
He said that the lab will consist of creation, standardisation and validation of database, section plotting and interactive geological modeling, geo-statistical analysis along with block modeling and block estimation.
