The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday disposed off a petition questioning non-appointment of advocate general Punjab. Justice Mamoon Rashid Sheikh heard the petition, filed by Advocate Noshab A. Khan.
During the hearing, a provincial law officer informed the court that Shakil ur Rehman Khan had been appointed advocate general Punjab on March 6. He also produced a notification in this regard.
At this, the court disposed off the petition after declaring it infructuous. The petitioner had pleaded the court to issue directions for immediate appointment of the AGP.
