Security guards of the International Islamic University are reportedly involved in peddling drugs on the campus.

Sources informed Online that students use drugs openly in the hostels and parking of the varsity in the evenings. Thousands of students are addicted to these drugs due to no action by the university administration, sources said.

They further said drugs are openly available at cafes of the varsity which the owners distribute among students through their agents.

A student asking not to be named told Online that bottles of alcohol were recovered from the rooftops of the hostels. A drunken student had even beaten an employee of the varsity last month.

Spokesperson of the university, Professor Abid refused to comment on the issue.
