Unknown suspects attacked a 29-year-old woman with acid in Nawab Town area on Friday morning.
The victim, identified as Yasmeen, received minor injuries and was shifted to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.
According to police, there was some dispute between the woman and her husband; however, the case is being investigated at the moment.
The incident comes few weeks after Punjab Assembly passed the Women Protection Bill, giving protection to the women affected by violence.
The new law criminalises domestic, psychological and sexual violence against women and calls for the creation of a toll-free abuse-reporting hot line and the establishment of shelters.
