People have rejected politics of confrontation, says Zaeem Qadri

Punjab government Spokesman Syed Zaeem Hussain Qadri has said success of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate with more than 75 thousand votes in by-election of NA-153 is a proof to the fact that people of Pakistan have full confidence in the leadership of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the government.

He said that people have rejected the politics of confrontation, unrealistic sloganeering, processions and containers and they support the serious political forces. He said that federal and provincial governments of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) believe in politics of development and good governance while making efforts for controlling terrorism and darkness of load-shedding and providing relief to the people through infrastructure, development, increase in education and health budget.

Due to this performance, the people have made the PML-N candidate win with thumping majority in by-election of Pirwala, he added. He expressed these views while talking to media during a press conference in Islamabad.

Zaeem Qadri said that under the leadership of Punjab Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, PML-N-led government has started mega projects and record development schemes for providing facilities to the people. He said that dozens of big projects have been completed while a number of mega projects including motorway from Faisalabad to Multan, Multan Metro Bus Project and Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project are in phases of completion while Bahawalpur Metro Bus Project will also be started soon.

He said that the chief minister has provided additional funds of 11 billion rupees besides routine budget every year for removing the deprivation of people of South Punjab and increasing basic facilities like infrastructure, potable water, education and health for the improvement of living standard of people of South Punjab.

Zaeem Qadri said that Imran Khan should learn lesson from his party’s defeat in the recent by-election and pay attention to the performance of PTI government in Khyber Paktunkhwa (KP). The recent election has proved that PTI and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) don’t have public support and majority of the people have expressed confidence in the leadership of PML-N.

He said that head of Provincial Accountability Commission of KPK had pointed out corruption and irregularities of the KPK chief minister and ministers and resigned due to hurdles created by provincial government of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the way of accountability. He said that he will accept Imran Khan as a national leader if he withdraws legislation reducing the power of accountability commission in KP.

Zaeem Qadri said that the credit of starting record development projects in south Punjab goes to Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif which included Shujaabad Multan expressway, district headquarters hospitals, institutes of kidney diseases, Shehbaz Sharif Hospital, Nawaz Sharif Agriculture University, University of Science and Technology and various other projects adding that trade, business and international trade activities have increased due to setting up of international airport at Multan, motorway from Lahore to Faisalabad and Multan to Sukkar.

The spokesman said that PML-N government has increased billions of rupees in the health and education budget. He said that under farm to market road program, 2500 km roads are being constructed in rural areas. He said that Patwar culture has been eliminated due to computerisation of land revenue record. In response to a question Zaeem Qadri said that Women Protection Act cannot the withdrawn through administrative powers and any amendments or change in it is only possible through the provincial assembly.

Qadri said that Women Protection Bill is aimed at protecting women and eradication of domestic violence. To another question, he said that Pervaiz Musharaf went abroad for treatment in the light of decision of Supreme Court adding that PML-N Chief Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has always maintained that Pervaiz Musharaf has no moral courage and courts are hearing all cases against him as per law and the constitution.
